Nyaneka ( Vanyanek , Muila , Munaneka ) - the people of the Bantu group . It covers the area between the Shela mountain range and the Cubango River in Angola . By nyaneka close to khumbe ( ngumbi, bangumbi ), hinga ( ovahinga ), pungu ( kipungu ), balondo . The number is about 470 thousand people [Andrianov, 1999, p. 392].

Nyanek representatives speak the language of lunyanek.
Religion
Basically they practice traditional beliefs (cults of spirits, ancestors , hearths), but part of the Nyanek - living in the coastal areas - Catholics .

Folklore
Rich folklore (various ritual dances and music). On the territory of the settlement of Nanjek , rock art is widespread, especially the rock art of goats and sheep [Robinson, 1986, p. 32].
Social Structure
They are united in large families, groups of communities form hierarchical structures associated with kinship patrilineal groups (lineages, clans).
Marriage
Marriage is patrilokalen, polygyny is common .
Residence
The community "assembly house" in the center of the settlement, built in the form of a ring and surrounded by a palisade, for which livestock is driven for the night. The dwellings are in the shape of a circle, the roof is cone-shaped, covered with straw, the frame of the house is made of sticks and rods, instead of cement, clay is used to bond the constituent parts. Granaries are raised above the ground level by piles [Andrianov, 1999, p.393].
Traditional Activities
Cattle-breeding, farming, hunting and gathering were traditionally the main occupations of the nursery [Robinson, 1986, p. 33]. Cattle and small cattle are bred, and this type of activity has a more prestigious value than the commercial one. Manual slash-and-burn farming is practiced by women, growing crops such as sorghum, legumes, vegetables, corn. Crafts are also developed: wood carving, making ritual masks, bead jewelery [Andrianov, 1999, p.393].
Food
Plant foods (porridges and sorghum pastes, corn) predominate in the diet, and milk, oil, and fish are also consumed.
