History
- August 19, 1808 - The 8th department of the Linear Siberian Cossack Army was established
- 1812 - Linear Siberian Cossack troops regiment number 8
- December 5, 1846 - Siberian Linear Cossack Army Regiment No. 8.
- December 2, 1852 - Siberian Linear Cossack Equestrian No 9th Regiment
- March 5, 1861 - Siberian Cossack Equestrian No. 9th Regiment
- July 14, 1867 - Semirechensk Cossack No. 1 Regiment
- May 24, 1894 - 1st Semirechensk Cossack Regiment.
- January 12, 1911 - 1st Semirechensky Cossack General Kolpakovsky Regiment.
- March 1918 - The regiment returned from the front to Semirechye and was disbanded.
- September 1918 - The regiment was restored under the same name (29 officers, 910 drafts and 4 machine guns, the commander - Yesaul of the Siberian Cossack Army A. A. Asanov ) from the Cossacks of the Kapalskaya and Sarkandsky villages, as well as two hundred Cossacks of the southern villages in the 5th Siberian infantry division and joined the battles with the Reds on the Semirechye front .
- Renamed the 1st cavalry Alatavsky regiment of the Semirechensky Cossack army.
- March 29, 1918 - surrendered to the Bolsheviks in Kopal.
