Passenger Concepts

Passenger traffic is characterized by:

  • power or tension, that is, the number of passengers who travel at a certain time on a given section of the route in one direction (by any means of transport);
  • the volume of passenger traffic, that is, the number of passengers transported by the considered mode of transport for a certain period of time (hour, day, month, year).

A characteristic feature of passenger flows is their unevenness, they vary in time (hours, days, days of the week, seasons of the year).
