Kozlyakov, Vyacheslav Nikolaevich

In 1978 he entered the history department of Yaroslavl State University . From the student bench, he remains faithful to the chosen topic: the history of the Time of Troubles in Russia. His thesis was devoted to the “ First Militia ”, organized by Prokop Lyapunov in late 1610 - early 1611. Review of this work was written by the famous historian of the Troubles A. L. Stanislavsky (1939-1990), who taught at the Moscow Historical and Archival Institute .

In 1989 he graduated from the graduate school of the Institute of History of the USSR , defended his thesis on "Sources on the formation and composition of urban service corporations of the Upper Volga region in the first half of the 17th century", its scientific adviser was historian Viktor Buganov .

In 1999, V. Kozlyakov defended his doctoral dissertation at the St. Petersburg branch of the Institute of Russian History of the Russian Academy of Sciences (topic: “The Servant“ City ”of the Moscow State of the 17th Century: From the Time of Troubles to the Cathedral Code”) ^{[1] [2]} .

Later he continued to develop the theme of the Time of Troubles and, despite the fact that many prominent scholars-historians dealt with this topic, he was able to find his place by putting forward a number of interesting considerations that were approved by historians.

Vyacheslav Kozlyakov wrote a number of works, including biographies of historical figures of the specified period, published in the book series “ Life of remarkable people ”:

• “ Vasily Shuisky ” (2007),

In 2007, the book “Troubles in Russia. XVII century ”, and in 2012 -“ Heroes of Troubles ”.

He also acted as an editor and compiler: prepared publications of historical materials - “The Diary of Marina Mnishek ” (St. Petersburg, 1995), “Russian Historiography” by George Vernadsky (M., 1998), unknown translations of Vladislav Khodasevich , unpublished fragments of Anna Vyrubova’s memoirs.

Kozlyakov’s activities related to the history of Yaroslavl deserve mention. So, in the 1990s, he edited the journal " Yaroslavl Antiquity ", together with E. A. Ermolin prepared for publication documents of the Yaroslavl Uprising of 1918 (M., 2007).
