Aland (island)

Aland ( Finnish. Ahvenanmanner , Swede. Fasta Åland ) is the largest and most populated island of the Aland Islands archipelago, owned by Finland and located in the Baltic Sea . On the island is the capital of the autonomous region of the Aland Islands, Mariehamn , in which about 90% of the population of Aland lives (11,186 people according to 2011 ).
