It begins in Lake Taryn at an altitude of 120 meters above sea level under the name Taryn-Xian [2] . It flows in a general southeast direction through larch taiga [2] . It flows into the Lena River to the left at a distance of 834 km from its mouth [3] at an altitude of 35 meters above sea level [2] .
According to the state water register of Russia, it belongs to the Lena Basin District . The code of the water body is 18030900112117500004858 [3] .
The main tributaries are Arbay-Syan , Ala-Suordakh-Yuryage , Talyn (all are right) [2] .
