Chelsea ( fr. Chelsea ) is a settlement in the Ottawa region of the Canadian province of Quebec , the administrative center of the municipality of Colleen de l'Utaué [2] . Adjacent directly to the north of the Hull sector of Gatineau and is approximately 15 minutes by car from the capital of Canada, Ottawa . It is part of the National Capital Region of Canada .

According to the 2006 census, 6,703 residents lived in Chelsea [3] . The number of Francophones and Anglophones in Chelsea is approximately the same.
Chelsea includes a significant part of Gatineau Park, which runs from the Ottawa River between the Hull and Elmer sectors of Gatineau. The eastern border of Chelsea is the Gatineau River. In the north, at Farm Point, Chelsea borders the Wakefield village of La Pesch.
Chelsea is considered an active environmental policy area. Here, one of the first in Canada, banned the use of pesticides.
The name “Chelsea” was given to the area by one of the first settlers, Thomas Brigham, at the beginning of the 19th century, in honor of his native Chelsea in New Vermont. Previously, Chelsea was also known as the Western Hull.
Chelsea's attraction is the Hull-Chelsea-Wakefield Steam Railway .
