I-29

Missouri

The southern end of I-29 is located in Kansas City , Missouri. At the beginning of the route, the I-29 motorway is connected to I-35 and US 71 . From Interstate 35 I-29 departs even within the city of Kansas City. I-29 and US 71 remain connected until Andrew County, where US 71 and US 59 are heading northwest toward Maryville , while I-29 continues north.

Iowa

Interstate 29 enters Iowa in the Hamburg area . In the city of Council Bluffs, I-29 is connected to I-80 for three miles. In the city of Crescent, I-29 merges with I-680 , highways disconnect after 10 miles. In the city of Su-City from I-29 departs auxiliary highway I-129 , heading west to South Sioux City .

South Dakota

Prior to the intersection with SD 50, I-29 heads northwest and then turns north. Interstate 29 passes through the western part of Sioux Falls , in the northwest of the city crosses I-90 - the longest interstate in the United States. I-29 then continues north along the border with Minnesota . I-29 crosses US 12 and enters North Dakota.

North Dakota

The first city through which Interstate 29 in North Dakota passes is Hankinson . In Fargo, I-29 crosses Interstate 94 and heads towards the Grand Forks . I-29 crosses the border with Canada and becomes PTH-29 . PTH-29 is just 0.3 miles long, then this road merges with PTH-75 heading to Winnipeg .
