Taipeou, Tai Po ? (Tai Po, 大埔 區) is one of the 18 counties of Hong Kong . Located in the eastern part of the New Territories .

Population
In 2006, 294 thousand people lived in the district; among them, a significant stratum is Hakka .
Religion
The temples of Man Mo, Tin Hau, Fan Sin and Tai Wong Y are located in the district.
Economy
The district houses the Tai Po Industrial Park, the headquarters of the electronics manufacturer VTech , Asia Television (ATV) and Phoenix Television, the SCMP Group and the South China Morning Post , and Oriental Press Group ”, Hong Kong Note Printing banknote printing house, Vitasoy beverage and juice factory, Maxim`s Caterers food factory.
Trading
The largest shopping center in the region is Tai Po Mega Mall. Also popular with residents are the Tai Po markets, Old Tai Po and Tai Vo markets.
