Antons Justs ( Latvian: Antons Justs ; November 22, 1931 , Varaklany , Latvia - February 17, 2019 ) - Catholic bishop of the Jelgava diocese from 1995 to 2011.

Biography
Antons Eusts was born November 22, 1931 in the city of Varaklany, Latvia. In the summer of 1944, he emigrated with his family to Germany , where he completed primary education in Lübeck . In 1953 he graduated with honors from a classical gymnasium in Belgium and continued his studies in Leuven , where he studied Thomistic philosophy. From 1958 to 1962 studied in Innsbruck , after which he received the scientific degree of a licensee of theology.
July 11, 1960 was ordained a priest .
From 1962 to 1968 worked in the USA . He served as vicar in various Catholic parishes of the state of Virginia - in Richmond , in Arlington County. He served as dean of the Catholic parishes of the city of Washington. At the invitation of the Riga Archbishop Janis Puyats, he arrived in Latvia and since 1994 was rector of the theological faculty of the University of Latvia .
December 7, 1995 was appointed Pope John Paul II Bishop of the new Jelgava diocese. On January 6, 1996, he was ordained bishop.
On July 22, 2011, he submitted a letter of resignation to Pope Benedict XVI .
