Refers to the Teryaevsky rural settlement ; before the municipal reform of 2006, it belonged to the Shestakovsky rural district [3] [4] . The population is 12 [1] people. (2010).
Geography
The village of Tankovo is located about 23 km northeast of the center of Volokolamsk , on the left bank of the Loknash river ( Ivankovo reservoir basin ). There are two streets in the village - Zaravrazhnaya and Zarechnaya [2] . The nearest settlements are the village of Shestakovo , the villages of Yeremeyevo and Uspenskaya .

History
In the hundredth letter of 1569 it is mentioned as the village of Tonkovskaya , on the boundary plan of 1784 - Tankova [12] .
In the “List of Populated Places” of 1862, Tankova is a state village of the 1st camp of the Klinsky district of the Moscow province on the left side of the Volokolamsk tract, 35 miles from the county town, by the Loknosh river, with 20 yards and 101 inhabitants (45 men, 56 women) [6] .
According to the data for 1890, it was part of the Kaleevsky volost of the Klinsky district, the number of souls was 163 people [7] .
In 1913 - 22 yards [13] .
In 1917, the Kaleyevsky volost was transferred to Volokolamsk district [14] .
According to the materials of the 1926 All-Union Census - the village of the Assumption Village Council of the Kaleyevsky Volost of Volokolamsk Uyezd, 126 residents (57 men, 69 women) lived, there were 25 peasant farms [9] .
Since 1929 - a settlement within the Volokolamsk district of the Moscow region.
