Veikko Johannes Hakulinen ( Fin. Veikko Johannes Hakulinen ; January 4, 1925 - October 24, 2003 ) - Finnish skier , three-time Olympic champion and three-time world champion. Biography

Hakulinen was born in the Karelian settlement of Kurkiyoki (now part of Russia).

The military rank is sergeant . Profession - forestry specialist.

He participated in four winter Olympic games , at which he won three gold, three silver and one bronze medals. At the last of his Olympics in 1964 he participated as a biathlete, but in the race for 20 kilometers he finished only 15th.

He was elected the sports person of the year in Finland in 1952, 1953, 1954 and 1960. In 1955, he was awarded for his sporting achievements.

Hakulinen died as a result of a road accident on October 24, 2003 in the city of Valkeakoski , where he lived [1] .
