The chapel originally had the shape of a rotunda , but later it was slightly rebuilt, and the chapel lost its “round” look. The chapel is decorated with columns that frame the entrance and facade , but in general the chapel is without architectural delights. In Soviet times, the chapel was closed, its premises were adapted for commercial premises, and the head of the chapel was dismantled. In 1977 - 1979, the building of the chapel was restored. In the years of perestroika, the chapel was given as a “Tools” store. In 1995, the chapel of St. Nicholas gave the diocese. She became a farmstead of the Trinity-Sipanov Pakhomievo-Nerekhtsky monastery . Now the chapel has been completely renovated: the cross has been restored, chapters have been gilded, new interiors have appeared.
