Ash-Sham [2] ( Arabic. جبل شمس - "mountain of the sun") - the highest point of Oman , located in the mountain system of El Ahdar . Height 3018 meters. The mountain is located about 30 km north of the city of Bahla .

Around the peak there is a closed zone, since a military radar station is located on the top. A dirt road leads to it.
Opposite the mountain is an observation deck, which is a popular destination for tourists. Not far from it is a tourist base.
