The length of the river is 213 km. The catchment area is 3110 kmΒ². It flows through the territory of the Bystrinsky and Sobolevsky regions of the Kamchatka Territory of Russia [3] .
First mentioned in the reports of V. V. Atlasov as Kyksha [4] . The river was named at the beginning of the 18th century by the Russian Cossacks on behalf of the local Itelmen Aglukom, which was later transformed into Oglukomina and then into Oblukovyu. The name in the language of the local Itelmen population is Sheagach [5] .
