It is part of the Zalessky rural settlement (from January 1, 2006 to April 9, 2009 it was part of the Khripelevsky rural settlement) [1] [2] , from the point of view of the administrative-territorial division , it was part of the Khripelevsky village council.

Located on the right bank of the Izhina River. The distance to the regional center of Ustyuzhna by road is 16 km, to the center of the municipality of the village of Maloe Vosnoye in a straight line - 9 km. The nearest settlements - Davydovskoe , Tyukhtovo , Chuprovo .

Content

History

At the end of the XIX and the beginning of the XX centuries, the village administratively belonged to the Balakhtimerevsky rural community of the Khripelivsky volost of the Ustyuzhensky district of the Novgorod province.

The village of Koshelevo belonged to the Balakhtimerevsky rural community.

According to the "List of the inhabited places of the Novgorod province for 1911" in the village there were 31 courtyards occupied by buildings, in which there were 44 residential buildings. Residents of both sexes - 169 people (men - 89, women - 80). The main occupation of the inhabitants is agriculture. The Izhina River flows near the village, there were 3 wells in the territory. There was a bread and spare shop in the village.

Demographics

According to the 2002 census, the population is 28 people (15 men, 13 women). The main nationalities are Russians (68%), Gypsies (32%) [3] .

Famous residents

  • Chistyakov Vasily Mikhailovich (1908-1984) - a native of the village of Balakhtimerevo, guard colonel , navigator of long-range bomber aircraft , Hero of the Soviet Union (1942).
  • Titov Egor Karpovich (1898-1945) - a native of the village of Balakhtimerevo, a Red Army soldier, a medical instructor of the 173rd Infantry Regiment, a full Cavalier of the Order of Glory .
