It is part of the Ustyuzhensky rural settlement [1] , from the point of view of administrative-territorial division - in the Ustyuzhensky village council.
Located on the right bank of the Mologa River . The distance by road to the regional center of Ustyuzhny is 7 km. The nearest settlements are Ganki , Igumnovo , Krotyn .
According to the 2002 census, the population is 21 people (12 men, 9 women). The predominant nationality is Russian (90%) [2] .
Agriculture predominates. The main composition of the village Vetrennikovo residents after 40 years. There is no livestock. The distance to the administrative center (Ustyuzhna mountains) is 2.3 km. At the fork from the village to the mountains. Ustyuzhna built a building for the traffic police

Near the village there are a lot of sawmills. (About 4-5 pieces). Near the village, until the collapse of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, there was a masokombinat. Near the village is a dense Ustyuzhensky forest.
