Africa Industrialization Day ( in other official UN languages : Africa Industrialization Day , Spanish Día de la Industrializacion de Africa , French Journée de l'industrialisation de l'Afrique ) - is celebrated annually, since 1990 , on the 20th November . Proclaimed by the UN General Assembly (Resolution No. A / RES / 44/237) in order to enlist the support of the international community in the industrialization of Africa .
In general, the resolution is dedicated to the implementation of the Second Decade of Industrial Development of Africa .
In his 2005 Africa Industrialization Day message, the UN Secretary-General highlighted the restrictions on access to markets for rich countries. Called for the removal of export restrictions from least developed countries. The message also noted that African countries should create favorable conditions for the development of entrepreneurial activity.
