The source of the Great Khatyngnakh is located on the Okhotsk-Kolyma plateau, at an altitude of about 1300 m [4] , flows almost strictly to the north. It flows into the Kolyma river on the right, near the former village of Khatynnah [5] , at a distance of 2083 km from the mouth.
According to the state water register of Russia, it belongs to the Anadyro-Kolyma Basin District [3] .
