Story

JYP Entertainment was founded in 1997 by Pak Chin Young and at that time had a different name - Tae-Hong Planning Corporation, in 2001 the name was changed. In June 2007, headquarters in New York opened. In July 2001, the first open audition was also held, within the framework of which new trains were to come to the company, which in the future would form the first girl group JYP. In 2002, Rhine made his debut as a solo artist.

Wonder Girls is one of the most successful female groups in the history of Korea, as well as one of the most iconic among the second generation groups.

In 2006, the MTV Wonder Girls show was launched, and it became known that Wonder Girls would be the first female group JYP. They debuted in February 2007 with the single “Irony,” and in July Hyuna left the band at the insistence of her parents and was replaced by Yubin . In the next few years, the group underwent repeated changes in composition, and the quartet from Eyn , Yubin, Sonmi and Lim became the final. In February 2017, after 10 years of existence, Wonder Girls broke up. [2] In 2008, two boyfriends - 2AM and 2PM - debuted at once. Together, they unofficially formed One Day. In 2009, Jay Park left JYP Entertainment after a scandal about statements about Korea, and in 2015, three 2AM members immediately left the agency. [3] Jo Kwon left the company in September 2017. In May 2016, after the contract expires, the team leaves Jia [7] , a year later, Lee Min Young [8] leaves the agency. In December 2017, the group was officially disbanded. [9]

In 2012, two projects will debut at once: the JJ Project and the duet 15 & . GOT7 debuted in January 2014, the first boyfriend since the 2PM debut. [10] In October 2015, the TWICE girl group will debut, and a month earlier, the instrumental Boy6 band Day6 . [11] [12]
