Biography

At the Habima Theater since 1917. A young actress from Odessa - Susanna Lichtenstein took the name of Shoshan Avivit, which means "spring rose".

In Paris since 1924. In 1925 he performs in Paris on stage together with the poet Konstantin Balmont . In the 20-30s, a number of her performances on the stage took place. Her program includes excerpts from the Song of Songs , the psalms of David [3] , poems from Russian Russian and Jewish poetry.

She played in the Comedy Frances Theater. After the war, she spoke at the evenings of the Federation of Jewish Societies in France, the Union of Russian and Lithuanian Jews.

The famous poet Konstantin Balmont dedicated poetry to her [4] , in 1924 writing to her in France:

“Why did I feel you right there in Moscow, why did you enter my heart so sharply, painfully and tenderly?”

She married comedian Daniel Lecourtua. Shoshany's daughter from her first marriage - Agnes Orkin-Lekurtua - became a famous French physicist, worked at CERN .

Since the 1950s, the actress has lived in Israel .
