Chersky ridge - a mountain range in the Asian part of Russia , in the Trans-Baikal Territory .

The ridge, which is about 650 km long, extends in the direction from the southwest to the northeast . It begins in the interfluve of Ingoda and its right tributary Ushumun, then continues to the northeast in the interfluve of the Ingoda and Olenguy , and after the intersection of Ingoda near the city of Chita, it occupies the interfluve of the Karenga and Nerchi right up to the source of the Delingd River, the right tributary of the Vitim . The maximum height of the ridge is observed on the mountain lintel with the Yablonovy ridge - Mount Chingikan with a height of 1644 m. Both pine and deciduous forests grow on the slopes, in ravines with a predominance of spruce and fir .
The ridge got its name in honor of the famous explorer of Siberia, Ivan Chersky .
