Nikita Igorevich Krivoshein ( July 6, 1934 , Paris ) - Russian translator and writer, public and political figure of the Russian emigration, Cavalier of the Order of St. Daniel of the III degree.

Biography
In 1946, the family of Russian emigre noblemen of the first wave in France Krivosheins adopted Soviet citizenship, in 1947, repatriated to the USSR and was sent to Ulyanovsk .
Nikita Krivoshein worked at a factory in Ulyanovsk, graduated from evening school for working youth . He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Foreign Languages .
In August 1957, the KGB was arrested for an unsigned article published in the newspaper Le Monde about the invasion of Soviet troops in Hungary . Convicted under article 58 (part 10) of the RSFSR Criminal Code; served his sentence in Mordovian political camps . He worked at a sawmill, at loading operations.
After his release from 1960 to 1970, he worked as a translator and interpreter. He worked in the magazine "New time" . It was registered in Maloyaroslavets, Kaluga region .
In 1971 he returned to France .
He worked as a simultaneous interpreter at UNESCO , UN , Council of Europe . He is engaged in translations of Russian fiction into French . The author of journalistic works and memoirs in the editions of " Russian Thought " (Paris), the magazine "Star" . He spoke on the Radio Liberty . He took part in the preparation for the publication of the spiritual heritage of Archbishop Vasily (Krivoshein) . One of the main characters in the documentary about emigration, “ Let's not curse exile ” (1997, 2003).
In April 2004, he became a founding member of the Movement for Local Orthodoxy of the Russian Tradition in Western Europe [1] .
He lives in Paris.
Family
- Wife - Ksenia Igorevna Krivosheina , nee Ershova. Born in 1945 in Leningrad in a family of opera singers and artists (grandfather - Ivan Vasilyevich Ershov ). Illustrator of children's books, painter. Having married Nikita Krivoshein, she went to Paris in 1980, where she continues her activities as a publicist, artist, researcher of the works of Maria (Skobtsova) and the site “Life, Creativity is Fate” [2] .
- Son - Ivan Krivoshein, born in 1976 in Paris.
- Paternal grandfather - Krivoshein, Alexander Vasilievich - Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Empire and Prime Minister of the Government of the South of Russia General Wrangel . Grandfather's sister Olga Vasilyevna Morozova (nee Krivosheina, 1866-1953) was buried with her husband Sergei Timofeevich Morozov (1860-1944) at the Russian cemetery in Saint-Genevieve-des-Bois near Paris.
- Father - Krivoshein, Igor Alexandrovich - engineer, participant in the Resistance movement in France during the Second World War, awarded the Resistance Medal by order of de Gaulle (1945), was arrested by the Gestapo in 1944, imprisoned in Buchenwald , then in Dachau , freed by the Allied forces. After the end of World War II, he was actively engaged in social activities, adopted Soviet citizenship, and in 1945-1947 he was chairman of the Commonwealth of Russian volunteers, partisans and participants in the Resistance. On November 25, 1947, he was arrested and deported from France, after which he repatriated to the USSR. In 1949 he was arrested by the MGB in Ulyanovsk and sentenced by the CCA to 10 years in prison under Art. 58-4 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR . Rehabilitated in 1954. The author of a number of publications in Soviet collections and periodicals on the participation of Russian emigrants in the French Resistance. He returned to France in 1974. He died in 1985, was buried in the cemetery of Saint-Genevieve-des-Bois.
- Uncle - Archbishop of Belgium and Brussels Vasily (Krivoshein) (1900-1985) - theologian and patrologist [3] .
- Uncle - Kirill Alexandrovich Krivoshein (1903-1977) - was an active participant in the French Resistance and was awarded the Medal of Resistance, traveled a lot, was an expert on art. He wrote a study about the life and work of his father, “The Fate of the Century: Krivosheiny” [4] , which served as material for A. I. Solzhenitsyn: in the epic “The Red Wheel” A. V. Krivoshein and his sons are characters. KA Krivoshein died in Madrid (Spain) and is buried near Paris in a cemetery in Sevres [5] .
- Maternal grandfather - Meshchersky, Alexei Pavlovich (1867-1938). He is called "Russian Ford." He graduated from the military corps in Moscow, then the St. Petersburg Mining Institute in 1890. Mining engineer. Titular Counselor (1893), College Counselor (1904), State Counselor (1913). In 1908, he was at the disposal of the board of the company of the Kolomna Engineering Plant. Member of the Boards and Managing Director of the Sormovo Iron, Steel and Mechanical Plant Joint-Stock Company, Kolomensky Machine-Building Plant, Beloretsk Iron-and-Steel Works, Member of the Boards of the Vyksa Mining Plants, Russian Shipbuilding Joint-Stock Company, Bromley Mechanical Plant Society, Gear-Citroen, “ Ocean "and others. Organizer of the concern" Kolomna - Sormovo "(1913), one of the organizers and directors of the International Commercial Bank in St. Petersburg. He was buried in the cemetery of Sainte-Genevieve-des-Bois near Paris.
- Mother - Krivosheina, Nina Alekseevna (nee Meshcherskaya, 1895-1981). Born in Yekaterinburg in the family of a large banker and entrepreneur, the owner of the Sormovsky and Kolomensky plants A.P. Meshchersky. Wife I.A. Krivoshein. Active member of the Young Russians party. After the October Revolution, she left for Finland on the ice of the Gulf of Finland. In 1948 she returned to the USSR, survived the arrest of her husband and son. In 1974, she emigrated to Paris again, where she wrote the memoirs “Four Thirds of Our Lives” [6] , one of the most interesting books about Russian emigration, published in the series “ Our Recent ” by A. I. Solzhenitsyn ( YMCA-Press , 1984) and the second publication in the series All-Russian Memorial Library in 1999. These memories served as the basis for the film " East-West ." Nina Krivosheina was published in the Vestnik RSHD and Zvezda magazines. She died in 1981 in Paris and was buried in the cemetery of Sainte-Genevieve-des-Bois [7] .
