Taj ad-Din Il-Arslan (full name - Taj ad-Duniyya va-d-Din Abu-l-Fath Il Arslan ibn Atsiz ) (? - March 7, 1172 ) - Khorezmshahis of the Turkic-Oguz kind of bekdili, rules from 1156 to 1172 years , the son of Khorezmshah Ala ad-Din Atsiz .

In 1152, Il Arslan became the ruler of the city of Jenda , conquered by his father in the lower reaches of the Syrdarya . In 1156 , after the death of Shah Atsiz , Il Arslan assumes the throne of Khorezm . Like his father, he pays tribute to the Seljuk sultan Sanjar and Karakitai . Just a few months after Il Arslan came to power, in 1157 , Sanjar dies, which allows Khorezm to completely get rid of Seljuk influence.
In the 1160s , Il Arslan attached Dikhistan to the possessions of Khorezm with its surroundings. He manages to subjugate several cities of Khorasan , he is trying to subjugate part of the cities of the Iraqi sultanate , Maverrennahr . In 1172, he successfully reflected the Karakit campaign on Khorezm . Shortly thereafter, Il Arslan dies, and his sons Ala ad-Din Tekesh and Celal ad-Din Sultan-shah begin to fight for the throne.
