Biography
Tamara Sovchi (nee Yakimenko) was born on June 18, 1941 in Simferopol .
She graduated from the Nemirov seven-year school, the fermentation department of the Lviv Food Technical School and the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (1966, course of Boris Babochkin ) [1] . She studied at the evening department of the Kiev Polytechnic Institute . She worked as an apparatchina at the Vinnitsa Distillery, in the Theater-Studio of the Film Actor and as the director of voice-over dubbing on television.
She played one of her first roles in the famous film directed by Marlene Hutsiev “ Zastava Ilyich ” (“I am twenty years old”). Notable roles include: Akulina (“The Children of Vanyushin ”), Liza ( “Thirst for the Creek” ), Polina (“ Stepmother ”), Katerina ( “SOS” over the Taiga ), Gorkina (“ Arriving ”), Loskutova (“The White Raven ” ), Volnova (“ Legal marriage ”), Larisa (“ I myself am a Vyatka native ”). She took an active part in the dubbing of film studios of the Union republics and foreign tapes.
She was married to the Russian actor of Greek origin Georgios Sovchis (1937-1996). She died on February 1, 2011. She was buried at the Khovansky cemetery , in Moscow, next to her husband.
