Mentions
His name is carved in two places: on the eastern facade of the temple, under the middle ceiling and on the north side, on two stones, between which a third one is inserted with a carved image of the hand and a drawing tool. The inscription from Georgian translates as: "The hand of God's servant Arsukidze."
The construction of the Svetitskhoveli temple was conducted from 1010 to 1029 , in which the stones of the old (5th — 6th century) basilica were used as the building material to create a completely new independent work. This indicates artistic maturity and talent, great practical experience and skill. Uta himself took part in the construction of the western gate as a builder.
