Shagonar is a river in the Ulug-Khemsky kuzhun of Tyva , the left tributary of the Yenisei. Formed by the confluence of the sources of Hula on the right and Shivilig on the left about 40 km from the mouth [2] . According to the GWR, the length of the river is 73 km, the basin area is 1660 km², and Hula and Schwelig are variants of the name Shagonar [3] .

Tributaries
- Torgalyg (also Ar-Tarkhalik) - 53 km long, flows into 22 km on the right bank [4] ;
- Aryg-Uzu (also Aryg-Uzu, or Ishti-khem) - 39 km long, flows into 27 km on the left bank [5] ;
- Kozhai - 34 km long, flows into 29 km on the right bank [6] ;
- Chylannak ( unnamed river along the GWR) - 10 km long, flows 32 km along the right bank [7] ;
- Hula - 15 km long, flows into 67 km on the left bank [8] .
In addition, two channels with no name appear in the geological survey: 13 km on the left bank and 15 km on the right. It flows into the Sayano-Shushenskoye reservoir , about 10 km west of the city of Shagonar (previously, the Yenisei River, at a distance of 3348 km from the mouth).
According to the state water register of Russia , it belongs to the Yenisei Basin District . The code of the water body is 17010300112116100008379. [3]
