Biography

Anu was the daughter of the Khosut prince Galdama , the son of Ochirtu-Tsetsen-khan (or the daughter of Ochirtu-Tsetsen-khan and the sister of Galdama, according to some sources). Having been familiar with Galdan since childhood, she intended to marry him in the future, [2] however, due to the fact that Galdan became a monk and was sent to study in Tibet , he was given for his older brother, the future Khan Dzungaria Senge . that she was the mother of Tsevan-Rabdan (1663-1727), one can disagree with this statement. For example, a historian from Mongolia N. Nagaanbuu said: “Anu-Khatun was the youngest wife of Galdan's older brother - Sange-khan. When Sengge Khan passed away, Galdan made her his wife. ... It is not true to believe that Anu, since she was the wife of Sengge, is therefore the mother of Tsevan-Ravdan. ”

After the death of Senge and the return of Galdan to Dzungaria, she became his wife, having given birth to his son Savdenbalzhir, his daughters Yunchikhai and Boom. During the first Oirat-Manchu war, Anu accompanied Galdana on campaigns. During the battle that was devastating for the Oirats on the Terelj River in the Zuunmod area, on May 13, 1696, she and her husband participated in the battle, firing from a bow until they dislocated the thumb. At the moment when the environment closed around the headquarters, she put on battle armor and, leading a surprise attack, broke through the ring, which distracted the main forces of the Manchu. [3] [4] At the cost of capturing Galdana with a small group of soldiers, she died from a gun bullet. [five]
