Kursk crater is a trace of a meteorite strike located in the Kursk region [1] .

It is 6 km in diameter; its age is estimated at 250 ± 80 million years (late Perm or early Triassic period ). No crater is visible from the surface of the earth. The central elevation of the crater has a height of about 200 meters and a ring groove with a depth of 260 m relative to the side [2] .
