History
The village was founded in the middle of the XVIII century in the upper reaches of the Sokolka River. The name was given to the village of Sancheleevo, which already existed in the lower reaches of the river (then became Lower Sancheleevo ). The very word Sancheleev is based on the personal name of Sanchely.
Orthodox residents of the village belonged to the parish of the Nizhne-Sancheleevskaya church in honor of Mikhail the Archangel until in 1861 a church with a throne was opened in the name of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.
In the same 1861, a male county school was opened in the village, and in 1906, a one-class mixed parish school, in which 74 boys and 40 girls studied in 1910. In March 1918, Soviet power was established in the village, but in March 1919 a significant part of the peasants joined the rebels during the Chapan War . In a battle with chapans, the then chairman of the village council Vedyashev, whose name is now named one of the streets of the village, was killed.
In the era of collectivization in 1929, the collective farm “The Way to Socialism” appeared in Verkhniy Sancheleevo. The collective farm had 11 thousand hectares of arable land, 900 horses and 6 Inter tractors. Also in the village there was a collective farm named after Molotov. In 1956, collective farms were merged under the name Pravda, and in 1957, the Iskra Lenina collective farm, located in the villages of Vechkanovka, Khorkovka, and Novy Sokol of the Verkhne-Sancheleevsky Village Council, joined the new collective farm. In 1958, the Pravda collective farm was again enlarged, and the Kalinin collective farm located in the village of Lopatino was attached to it.
Since 1953, first the collective farm “The Way to Socialism”, and then the collective farm “Pravda” was managed by chairman Nikolai Mikhailovich Makarov. He was a skilled and talented leader, and soon brought the collective farm to the leaders among the enterprises of the region. Grain productivity has grown from 9-10 centners per hectare to 20-25 centners or more, and in the harvest years (in 1978 and 1984) - 34.7 centners each. A tenth of all grain in the Stavropol region was produced by the Pravda collective farm.
In 1962, construction began on a 12-kilometer water supply. In 1966, the collective farm began the construction of a ten-year school, an eight-apartment house for teachers. A bakery was built for 5 tons of bread per day, a water tower, two new water intake wells. In 1967, a children's factory with 140 seats, a dining room with 350 seats, and a boiler room were built. An obelisk was built in honor of fellow villagers who died during the Great Patriotic War.
In 1975, the Pravda collective farm had 12,359 hectares of arable land, 29 tracked and 26 wheeled tractors, 29 grain and 8 silage combines, 57 seeders, 45 multi-plow plows, 52 cultivators and 33 motor vehicles. On farms, there were about 7,000 livestock. In 1976, a dairy farm for 1200 cows was launched, and more than 600 cows were kept on a farm in Lopatino. Annually 5500 tons of milk were delivered to the dairy in Togliatti, and 350 tons of meat to the meat factory.
The collective farm became a millionaire, and its chairman Nikolai Mikhailovich Makarov became a Hero of Socialist Labor .
