Chaliyar ( Malayalam : ചാലിയാർ) is the fourth longest river in the Indian state of Kerala , the length of the river is 169 km [1] . It originates on the slopes of the Western Ghats , in the Nilgiri district of Tamil Nadu . It flows through the districts of Malappuram and Kozhikode of the state of Kerala, flows into the Laccadive Sea . Does not dry out in the dry season.
