Title History
The original name Spasskaya Street has been known since 1769 , given that the passage led to the Church of the Savior on Sennaya . In parallel, there existed the names 1st Spassky Lane , Spassky Lane , Rogachev Lane (by the name of the landlord, Major General I. S. Rogachev) [1] .
On October 6, 1923, it was renamed into Worker Street Peter Alekseev , in honor of P. A. Alekseev , a revolutionary volunteer participant in the labor movement in St. Petersburg in the 1870s . At the same time, there is a variant of Peter Alekseev Street . On January 13, 1998, the historical name Spassky Lane was returned [1] .
