Teaching staff

Full Day School

Since 2008, the school switched to full-time mode: all additional classes after the end of the school day are held not outside the school, but in it itself. The school has a teacher in floristry and phytodesign, a rhythmic trainer. For the middle level, an elective course "Fundamentals of Medical Knowledge" was introduced. The number of needlework clubs for girls has increased, there is an art club, a theater club, an English club, auto-making and paperwork courses. The school’s social partners are the Larisa Latynina Center for Gymnastics and the Eureka Center for the Development of Children and Youth Creativity. ^[one]

Legal Profile Class

In 2009, at the school with the support of the city department of internal affairs and the Obninsk branch of the All-Russian Institute for Advanced Studies of the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, 10 class of legal profile was opened. The curriculum includes, in addition to general educational disciplines: law, psychology and professional ethics, specialized physical training, forensic science, and practical exercises with the specialists of the Department of Internal Affairs. ^[2]

Security

Since 2008, the school introduced a video surveillance system of limited access, including a turnstile at the entrance to the school, 9 cameras installed around the school’s perimeter and a certain system of measures. The movements of each student who is given a keychain with his personal data are recorded and transmitted weekly in the form of a report to teachers and parents. The entrance guard knows all the students and their parents.

The cost of the system in 2008 amounted to 400 thousand rubles, the installation was supervised by civil emergency situations. ^[3]

The first floor of school number 9 is occupied by the private school "Chasha" ^[4] .

• 1973 - School number 9 was created in the new building.
• 1982 - Igor Sutyagin graduated from the school, in the future a defendant in one of the most high-profile Russian espionage cases.
• 1992 - Tamara Romanova , a future artist, graduated from the school.
• 2007 - Tatyana Volnistova was appointed the school principal.

• 2011 - After the transfer of the previous director Tatyana Volnistova to the post of head of the Obninsk general education department, Lyubov Zyryanova was appointed the school director.

• From 1973 to 2008, 40 gold and 31 silver medalists graduated from the school. ^[one]
• In 2010, at the All-Russian Conference “Youth. The science. Culture ”school students took first place in chemistry and third place in literary work. ^[5]
• In 2010, the school took 3rd place in the regional mathematics tournament, and 3rd place in the military-historical tournament. ^[5]

• 2007 - 2011 - Tatyana V. Volnistova , candidate of pedagogical sciences (2005). Thesis: "The study of nuclear physics in the classes of the physical and mathematical profile using information technology" ^[6] . Prior to being appointed director of school No. 9, she worked as a physics teacher at Obninsk College ( 1997–2002 ) and deputy director for educational work at school No. 1 ( 2002–2007 ) ^{[7] [8] [9]} . Laureate of the regional prize named after the national teacher A. F. Ivanov ( 2009 ) ^[10] . Laureate of the All-Russian competition "Director of the school" ( 2010 ) ^[11] . Laureate of the Obninsk contest “Person of the Year” in the nomination “Education” (for the program to include software in the educational process and train teachers in advanced digital technologies) ( 2007 ) ^{[7] [8] [9] [12]} . Before the arrival of Wavy School No. 9 took the last place in the ranking of Obninsk schools according to the results of the exam . In 2010, due to the strengthening of elective classes, the school moved up to the middle of the list in mathematics and the Russian language, took third place in computer science, and became the best in geography. I introduced a full-day regimen at school, drawing not only children, but also their parents into additional classes, for which she received the nickname "director of the microdistrict." One of the first in Obninsk to include a school in an experiment to test new federal state educational standards at the elementary level, having received a significant improvement in the quality of education in primary schools. The first in the city to install a combi oven in the school for cooking for students. ^{[5] [13]} In 2011, she nominated herself and was approved by the Obninsk administration as head of the general education department ^{[7] [8] [14] [15]} . During the direction of Volnistova, several teachers left the school, including a geography teacher, Honored Teacher of the Russian Federation Vera Kanopka. None of them ever publicly explained the reasons for leaving. ^[16]
