Marc-en-Baroill

Excavations carried out on the territory of the commune of Marc-en-Barol showed that the first settlements in these places were founded by Celtic tribes of Atrebates and Menapies . In the Middle Ages, Carolingian hunting grounds were located here.

Mark remained a small settlement until the beginning of the 20th century, when the growth of the Lille agglomeration led to a large population growth in its vicinity.
