Kozova

Koziova ( Ukrainian. Koziova , Polish. Koziowa ) - the village of Skole district, Lviv region, Ukraine . Located in the Carpathians on the border of the Skole National Park Beskydy , on the highway M-06 (E-50) Kiev - Lviv - Chop , 19 km from the district center and Skole railway station, 127 km from Lviv and 669 km from Kiev. Center for rural happy (council).

Village Kozeva Lviv region. The wooden church of st. Nicholas 1926

The river Oryava flows through the village, the Opira tributary. Near the village passes the main oil pipeline "Friendship", immediately there is an oil pumping station "Karpaty". To the north of the village, near the road, there is a source of pure mountain water, near which motor carriers and autotourists stop to quench their thirst and replenish water supplies.

Behind the village Kozova, turning right (there is a pointer), there is a ski resort Tisovets , located at an altitude of more than 1000 meters above sea level.

Kozyeva was first mentioned in written historical sources of 1538 .

During the First World War, a major battle took place here, which went down in history as the “ Battle of Kozevo ” [1] . During the battle, the village was completely burned. The surviving inhabitants of Kosevo were resettled in the Caspian steppes.

The village is a wooden church of St. Nicholas (1926).
