The flag of the region consists of two equal vertical stripes - blue at the pole and red in the free part. In the center of the banner is the coat of arms of the region, consisting of a heraldic shield, the field of which is divided into blue and red halves; on top of the dividing line are the golden sun and two ears of bread. The sun is a traditional symbol of Podillia . The red color is taken from the coat of arms of Volyn. The ears symbolize the agrarian orientation of the region, and also depict the letter "X" - the first in the name of the region.
