The capacity of the processor is 16 bits. The processor is made on the basis of a partitioned microprocessor set with variable firmware of the K585 / K589 series (analog of Intel 3000 Family ). The processor instruction system had 139 instructions and was made compatible with the Hewlett-Packard 9830 computer instruction system [2] .
The computer consisted of a system unit integrated with a QWERTY keyboard and two automatic tape drives based on compact cassettes . The video controller with a CRT display (brand "MS 6101.00") were in a separate building. Both cases were made of stamped iron, on the display screen there was a non-removable metal mesh that performed anti-glare and screening functions.
Own operating system, located in the ROM of the computer. Contained the BASIC programming language .
Development and the beginning of release - the second half of the 70s [3] . The varieties "Electronics T3-29" , "Electronics T3-29M" and "Electronics T3-29MK" were produced (the latter - since 1984). The assembly of the system unit was carried out at the Vyborg instrument-making plant . In the documents, the Vyborg X-ray Machine Plant was indicated as the manufacturer.
Features Electronics T3-29M
- Speed: 500 thousand op / sec.
- The amount of RAM: from 128 to 256 kB.
- The amount of ROM: 64 kB (based on K573RF2 chips).
- Standard compact cassette capacity: 72 kB.
- Display: monochrome, no halftone. The size of the visible area is 220 * 140 mm.
- Text mode: 25 * 80 characters, character format 5x7 pixels, character generator is flashed into the ROM of the video controller.
- Graphic mode: 512 * 256 pixels.
- System unit weight: about 25 kg.
- Display weight: about 30 kg.
There were expansion slots for connecting drives and other peripheral devices. The computer was equipped with a serial asynchronous IRPS interface . T3-29MK was equipped with a drive for reading 8 inch floppy disks on 160 kb produced in Armenia. The graphic display appeared only in the T3-29M model (pictured), the T3-29 model had a regular, alphanumeric display 25 * 80 and one cassette drive. The programming system of machines 29 and 29M also differed fundamentally: at 29 there was a certain basic-like code, in version M there was a more or less full-fledged Basic. In fact, they were completely different computers. In 1985, an expansion module was developed for the T3-29MK that allowed loading MS-DOS.
