History
The regiment originates from the Chernihiv provincial battalion (formed 03/27/1811).
In 1891, from the 47th reserve personnel battalion, the 172nd reserve infantry regiment Pultus regiment was formed. 02.20.1910, the 240th Krasninsky and 245th Soligalichsky reserve battalions were added to it (03/27/1811 - Smolensky and Kostroma inner provincial battalions, respectively). The educated regiment was named the 183rd Pultu Infantry Regiment with seniority of 03/27/1811. Pultusk is a city in the Warsaw province, whose name was called the regiment.
