The Coral Coast Nature Reserve ( Hebrew חוף האלמוגים - “Hof Almogim” ) is a protected area of the Red Sea .

Located in the territorial waters of Israel . The Eilat coral reef stretching for 1200 meters along the seashore is the only one in Israel. The coral reef is located 20 meters from the coast, in a shallow lagoon, and is one of the most northern reefs in the world. It consists of one coral wall descending to a depth of 3-4 meters, behind which there is a sandy strip with two huge rocks, and another coral wall - sheer, extending to a depth of about 35 meters.

In reef waters, there are about 270 species of coral, home to at least 2500 species of marine fauna (some of them are endemic).

In the area of the Coral Reef there are several places accessible for scuba diving enthusiasts: the rocks Jesus and Moses, which can be reached via a bridge in the northern part of the reserve, and the Japanese Gardens in the southern part, which extend 500 meters in length and extend in depth in two steps which are the largest and most guarded snorkeling spot in Eilat . Since the coral reef is a very complex and sensitive ecosystem, the reserve strictly monitors the number of divers in the reef and the implementation of all the rules that maintain the ecological balance.
