Dubai is a yacht currently owned by Sheikh Mohammed Ibn Rashid al-Maktoum , the ruler of the emirate of Dubai and the Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates . The vessel is 162 meters long, is the third largest yacht in the world. Formerly known as Panhandle and Platinum, built at the shipyards Blohm + Voss and Lürssen . It was bought by Platinum Yachts FZCO (UAE), and rebuilt in the Dubai floating dock. Partially finished steel hulls and superstructures were completed at Platinum Yachts, which also managed the interior design to meet the requirements of the new owner, and the interior and exterior equipment of the yacht was completed. Lloyds Register certification. There is a platform for helicopters weighing up to 9.5 tons, as well as a pool on the deck. Passengers and crew are accommodated on eight decks. “Dubai” is usually moored on the artificial island “ Logo Island ” near the summer palace of His Royal Highness Sheikh Mohammed.
