It is part of the Mezhensk rural settlement [1] , from the point of view of the administrative-territorial division - the Mezhensk village council.
Located on the banks of the Cheremuhi River - the left tributary of the Mezgi . The distance in a straight line to the regional center of Ustyuzhny is 19 km, to the center of the municipality of the village of Dolotskoye - 13 km. The nearest settlements are Loginovo , Mezga , Rozhnёvo .
The village of Demikhovo was registered on January 26, 2004 by a decree of the government of the Vologda Oblast [2] .
