Career

Club

Gratzai is a pupil of the Austrian club Leoben . In 1998, the goalkeeper made his debut in the First League of Austria . In 2001, the player moved to the Grazer AK team, but did not play a single match in the championship for it. In 2002, Gratzai signed a contract with the Sturm club from Graz . On March 8, 2003, the Austrian goalkeeper played his first match in the Austrian Bundesliga , taking the field against Bregenz. In total, in the 2002/03 season, the player played in 6 matches. He spent the 2003/04 season on the bench. The following season, Gratzai spent 24 matches in the Austrian championship, and in the 2005/06 season he again was in stock.

Since 2007, Christian becomes the main goalkeeper of the Sturm club. On July 16, 2009, the Austrian goalkeeper made his debut in the UEFA Europa League : he took part in the match against the ШирокWorky Brieg клуба club from Bosnia and Herzegovina, in which the Austrians won with the score 2: 1 [2] . On January 28, 2011, Gratzey extended the contract with the club until the end of the 2014/15 season [3] .

Team

Gratzai made his national team debut on October 14, 2009 in a match against France at the Stade de France stadium. In the second half, he replaced the main goalkeeper, injured, but his team could not avoid defeat and lost with a score of 1: 3 [4] .
