Content
History
The history of the Lysychansky Lyceum begins in 1997 , when, on the initiative of the city department of education, the Lysychany Secondary School No. 1, where lyceum classes and classes with in-depth study of physics and mathematics already operated, was transformed into a multidisciplinary lyceum.
In the first years of its existence, the lyceum provided training in three areas: physical-mathematical, chemical-biological and legal. In 2003, a philological profile was opened at the Lyceum, and since 2007 [1] - an information technology profile. The lyceum has become the basic educational institution of the Department of Education and Science of the Lugansk Regional State Administration and the Lugansk Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education on the introduction of civic education in educational institutions. In 2006, on the basis of the lyceum, the city coordinating center began to work on preparing students for subject Olympiads [2] . For four years (from 2005 to 2008) the Lyceum was awarded six times with diplomas of the Ministry of Education and the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine for the development and implementation of innovative technologies in the educational process [1] . The Lyceum cooperates with the Severodonetsk Technological Institute , the Lugansk University of Internal Affairs , the History Department of Donetsk University , and a number of technical universities in Kharkov .
In 2010, the lyceum was granted the status of an experimental educational institution at the regional level on the issue of “Education for Democratic Citizenship”.

Teaching staff
The first director of the lyceum was Alla Babenko, who previously headed school No. 1. Subsequently, graduate of school No. 1 Eduard Ivanovich Shcheglakov became the director, and after his departure to the post of deputy head of the education department of the Lisichansk City Council, Svetlana Fyodorovna Bogdan. However, in the academic year 2010-2010, the quality of education at the Lyceum caused discontent among parents: several leading teachers left, 20 percent of graduates could not enter universities. By the new year, of the six planned new classes, only four were formed. As a result, the unsatisfactory assessments made by the teachers and parents of the Lyceum’s leadership forced the school principal Svetlana Fedorovna Bogdan to apply for dismissal on the eve of the start of the school year [3] . The new director of the Lyceum was Natalya Vladimirovna Butenko.
Among 52 teachers of the lyceum in the 2012-2013 academic year, there are four candidates of science (also teaching at the Severodonetsk Technological Institute ). The lyceum teaches 27 teachers of the highest and 11 - the first qualification category.
Students
Pupils of the lyceum successfully perform at subject Olympiads and competitions of scientific research not only at the regional, but also at the national level. So, in the 2005-2006 academic year, one of the students of the lyceum won the All-Ukrainian competition of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine , and the other became the winner of the national law school olympiad [2] .
