Weissfeld, Leonid Vladlenovich

Received higher education at the SCOLIFK . Candidate of pedagogical sciences. In 1990-2001 judged the matches of the Championships of the USSR , CIS, International Hockey League and the Russian Championship . 11 times included in the lists of the best referees in the country. Three times he was awarded the Honorary Prize Golden Whistle named after Andrei Starovoitov as the best referee in Russia (1997/98, 1998/99, 2000/01). He also judged the matches of various international championships in 1991-2001.

He was a commentator on the Russia-2 TV channel (2009—2010). Previously, he held the positions of General Manager of Togliatti “Lada” and General Director of Mytishchi “Atlanta” , however, he left his last post in June 2009 ^[1] . Until May 01, 2013 he was the General Manager of the Novokuznetsk Metallurg . The management of HC Metallurg and the general manager of the club, Leonid Weissfeld, decided not to renew the contract, which expired on April 30, 2013. Thus, at the end of the 2012/13 season, Leonid Weissfeld left the Novokuznetsk hockey club system. On May 01, 2013, he assumed the post of General Manager of Motorist Holding Company . Since the season of the KHL 2015/2016 he has taken the position of general manager of HC Salavat Yulaev . In November 2017, after 8 consecutive lost matches, fans of the Ufa team wrote a collective letter to Weissfeld asking them to leave their post. On January 25, 2018, the contract with the club was terminated by mutual agreement of the parties. Weissfeld later commented on his departure:

“I was informed that the club’s development vector is changing. They thanked for the work and offered to leave. I had another year of the current contract, as a result, the agreement was terminated by mutual agreement of the parties. ”

On December 29, 2016, the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Rustem Khamitov, presented Leonid Vladlenovich with a letter of thanks from the President of the Russian Federation. ^[2]
