Akrav israchanani

Akrav israchanani (lat.) - a species of troglobiont scorpions from the Akravidae family. The only species of this family and genus Akrav . Discovered in Ayalon Cave in Israel . No eyes. The length of the brownish body is 50 mm. The species was described by the Israeli arachnologist Dr. Gershom Levy (Dr. Gershom Levy , 1937-2009) from the remains of a long (apparently several years) dead scorpions. "Akrav" is the ancient biblical name for scorpions [2] [3] . The species name was given in honor of the researchers of the cave Israel Naaman and Dr. Hanan Dimentman [4] .
