Superstitionia donensis (lat.) - a species of scorpions from the Superstitioniidae family. The only species of this family and genus Superstitionia . The generic name "Superstitionia" is given by the name of the Superstition Mountains east of Phoenix (Arizona), where the first specimens of this species were found by Herbert Stahnke , who described the species and genus in 1940 [2] . It is found in the southwestern United States ( Arizona , California , Nevada , New Mexico ). Small scorpions less than 25 mm long. They have only two lateral eyes on each side. The main color is yellow and orange-brown [3] .
