It is located 4 km south of the village of Verkhopolye , 26 km south-west of the city of Karachev . The population is 529 people ( 2010 ).

There is a post office, a rural library.
History
It arose around 1930 (the original name is Lazy ). The modern name comes from the toponym “Warm swamp”, at which the village is located.
In the second half of the 20th century , peat was mined and processed for the needs of the Bryansk State District Power Plant ; there was a platform on the narrow gauge railway - the final destination of passenger traffic.
