The Order was established in 2007 by the National Assembly of the Republic of Abkhazia on Victory Day in the Patriotic War of 1992-1993.
Statute
The order is awarded to servicemen for special courage, dedication and courage, other merits shown in the performance of military duty, as well as officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and customs officers.
