History
The district was formed in 1930 under the name Akhtinsky district .
In 1959, the Akhtinsky district was renamed Hrazdan. In 1962, the area was abolished, but already in 1964 restored. It was abolished in 1995 during the transition of Armenia to a new administrative-territorial division [1] .
Geography
On January 1, 1948, the territory of the district was 931 km².
Administrative Division
As of 1948, the district included 21 village councils : Alaparsky, Arzakansky, Atarbekyansky, Akhpyuraksky, Babakishinsky, Bzhninsky, Verin-Akhtinsky, Gyumushsky, Kakhsinsky, Korchlinsky, Makravansky, Marmariksky, Megradzorsky, Miskhaninsky, Nerkin-Akhtalsky, Nerkin-Akhtalsky, Rinkin-Akhtalsky, Nerkin-Akhtalsky, Rinkin-Akhtalsky, Rinkin-Akhtinsky, Rinkinsky, Akhtalsky, Rinkinsky, Akhtalsky, Nerkin-Akhtinsky, Rinkinsky, Akhtalsky, Rinkinsky, Akhtalsky, Nerkin-Akhta, Farukh, Fontansky, Tsaghkadzor [2] .
