Nordlandia (formerly Olau Hollandia , Nord Gotlandia ) is a passenger ferry built in 1981 at the AG Weser Seebeckswerft , Bremerhaven in Germany , commissioned by Olau Line Ltd Co. Used on the Tallinn - Helsinki line since February 10, 1998. The twin ship is the Olau Britannia, now Julia, built in 1982. From 2004 to 2013, the Translandia smaller passenger and cargo ferry, which is mainly used by truckers , helped him on the line.

Vessel History
The ship with serial number 1028 was launched on November 22, 1980 and transferred under the name Olau Hollandia on March 21, 1981 to Olau Line Ltd Co Hamburg Germany . Under this name, the first new ship of the company worked from March 25, 1981 to October 2, 1989 on the Shirness - Vlissingen line , after which the ship was sold to the Swedish Nordström & Thulin, which had a 10-year concession to the Gotland line. On this line, Nordström & Thulin performed under the Gotlandslinjen brand, and from January 1, 1990 until December 1997 the ship was sailing under the name Nord Gotlandia along the Visby - Nynashamn - Oskarshamn route. In 1997, a fire broke out in the engine room of the ship, in addition, Nordström & Thulin lost the right to organize communications on the Gotland line. For this reason, Nordström & Thulin decided to dispose of the vessel and sold it in December 1997 to the Finnish company Eckerö Line , where it was given its current name Nordlandia. On January 1, 1998, the ship left Visby and headed for Naantali , where the next day the Eckerö Line took it at its disposal. Since February 10, 1998 the ship has been operating on the Tallinn - Helsinki line . On April 30, 2003, one of the propellers broke when departing from Helsinki, as a result of which the ferry hit the Naantali dock for 5 days. On October 28, 2006, during a severe storm, Nordlandia crashed into Tallinn's pier and received a hole above the waterline. The damage was quickly repaired and from November 1, 2006 the ferry again started operating on the line.
In June 2011, the shipping company Eckerö Line served 310,005 passengers on the Tallinn-Helsinki line, which is the company's record for all time and accounts for about 30 percent of the transportation market. [four]
In June 2013, the ferry was sold to Isabella Cruise and renamed M / S Isabella I.
